CR'U Institute's Barber Program provides a comprehensive, hands-on education designed to equip students with the skills needed to excel in the barbering industry. Spanning 1000 hours, the program offers practical experience in a wide range of barbering techniques, including straight-edge shaving, hair cutting, styling, beard shaping, and mustache grooming.
Alongside technical training, the curriculum covers important subjects such as general anatomy, shop management, sanitation, sterilization, and safety practices, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education in both the craft and business of barbering.
Students also work with premium products, including LAYRITE, gaining experience with high-quality tools and products used in modern barbering. Throughout the program, student progress is closely monitored, with evaluations at the 450 and 900-hour marks to ensure mastery of skills.
Upon successful completion of the program, students earn a certificate and are eligible to sit for the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology licensing exam, paving the way for a successful career in barbering.
