Mentoring

CR'U Institute provides students with unique opportunities to learn from some of the area's top barbers through real-world demonstrations and mentorship. Renowned barbers regularly visit the institute to offer hands-on demos, giving students valuable insights into industry trends and advanced techniques.



Students also have the chance, on their own time, to visit local barber shops where they can shadow CR'U graduate barbers, learning firsthand about the best practices for success in the real world. These visits not only enhance practical skills but also help students build relationships with local shop owners. Often, these connections lead to job opportunities after graduation, giving CR'U graduates a direct pathway into the professional barbering community.

Externships

Our externship program is a great opportunity to acquire on the job training and a fantastic addition to our academic courses.

As a student of CR’U Institute, you will have access to mentoring and externship possibilities. Our engaged staff has relationships with salons and shops in Orange County, Los Angeles, and Long Beach. Many of the areas top shops enjoy having our students as externs. We also encourage students to create their own mentoring relationships with salons, and professionals in the field that they know, building their resume and network.
